New Scholarship Available to Distance Education Students

The Emma Eccles Jones College of Education and Human Services has received $20,000 for scholarships from the Simmons Family Foundation for single parents pursuing education related programs in rural Utah through the Regional Campuses and Distance Education System.
The scholarships will be awarded for the 2010-2011 academic year. Scholarship applications will be reviewed by the Emma Eccles Jones College of Education and Human Services Dean’s Office staff. The application deadline is February 1st.

Priority will be given to undergraduate students but graduate students may apply. Students in paraprofessional programs are also encouraged to apply. To qualify, students must enroll in a minimum of 6 credits, and they must be single and have children under the age of 18 living at home.
